THE CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS follows the restored rites of the ancient Catechumenate. A community of inquirers forms each fall, and proceed to Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at Easter. Adult Catholics seeking Confirmation also participate in this process.
THE CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF CHILDREN age seven and older takes place in a community of young inquirers who prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist on the Octave of Easter.
THE BAPTISM OF INFANTS is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, except during Lent, at 1:30 p.m., and at Sunday Mass during the Easter season for children of registered parishioners who participate in a program of formation. Call the parish office for further information.
FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST HOLY COMMUNION are normally celebrated in Grade 2. Special programs are offered for children in higher grades who need to be prepared for these sacraments.
CONFIRMATION is conferred upon young people in the tenth grade who express a personal desire for the sacrament of initiation and who express a personal desire for the sacrament of initiation and who demonstrate readiness by their regular Sunday worship, participation in the weekly Sunday night teen program and a Confirmation retreat.
