the campaign for a new parish home at st. lawrence
As we expand our church building toward the street, a new bell tower and cross will mark the home of the Catholic Church in downtown Lawrenceville for all who come seeking Christ among us.

The plan developed by our Building Renovation Committee with the assistance of liturgical consultants and architects, respects the Mission design of our existing church building and enhances it. The church
is reoriented along the north-south axis and the altar is placed under
the highest part of the roof line, creating a greater sense of the transcendent. At the same time, the seating, which increases from 475 to 845, embraces the altar on all sides, maintaining a wonderful sense of community.
The Gathering Area or narthex (grey area in middle, above), will become the setting for our baptismal font, reminding us as we enter ans as we depart that we have died with Christ and hope to rise with him, and that we are now to be servant-disciples for the church and for the world.
A new parish hall and renovated offices will surround an open-air courtyard. This green oasis will greet us every Sunday as we leave mass, and will become the tranquil heart of a bustling parish. The parish hall, seating 150 and opening onto the courtyard garden, will invite worshippers to linger after mass and will provide a lovely setting for gatherings and celebrations. The courtyard itself will contain a columbarium for the interment of ashes, creating a setting of living memory of our loved ones who have gone before us.
The corridor to the elevators, classrooms and gym will be widened to facilitate the flow of parishioners through the parish buildings. Increased toilet and nursery facilities will accommodate the greater church seating capacity.

Our new church home at St. Lawrence is a dream that is quickly coming to life! We can proceed from the preliminary programming phase design and construction only with your help. If you have not yet had the opportunity to make a pledge to Building the Dream, please do so today. If your circumstances permit you to increase the level of an earlier pledge, you will hasten the day that we can fill our new church home with the song and sacrifice of our praise!
